When the Lord said, “Let there be light,” darkness was all over the Earth. The same darkness surrounds our lives and the Lord alone can make it light. The quality of light is that it dissipates darkness. Light illuminates and causes us to see.
Most often we lack the revelation that we need in order to make progress. The only real problem is the lack of insight into exactly how we can overcome the problem that we have. The moment we have insight into exactly what needs to be done, we have entered the atmosphere of breakthrough.
Pastor Richard Roberts who is the son of Oral Roberts spoke about how his father Oral Roberts was able to start his University (ORU) with no land or money or staff or curriculum or students because one day, he in a flash of a moment saw how he could start the university. He followed the download that he received in the flash of the moment to set up his very famous university called ORU.
God is a master at revealing his plans. We just need to ask in order to receive. God is the master builder and when He has signed off His plan, it is up to us to execute it well. He will even ordain the steps that we must follow in order to attain the results that He desires for us.
How to Receive Downloads from Heaven
The secret to hearing from God and understanding the will of God is to pray in tongues and to also pray with understanding. Pastor Richard explained how he would start by praying in tongues for 10 minutes, then he would stop and pray in English. He would believe with his gift of faith that the words that he would utter were the very words of the Holy Spirit.
It is a good idea to write down or record the words the Holy Spirit speaks through us after we have prayed in tongues. Because the Holy Spirit is so wise in all the ways in which He tries to lead us, we will need to read and reread His words to us in order to get His full message out of them. The Holy Spirit is our true helper and our guide and we can be certain that so long as we are being led by the Holy Spirit, we are indeed the sons (and daughters) of God.
