The Lord’s Plans for the Next Three Years – 13^th Jan ’24:

The Lord told me this morning how He can only return after 2000 years are completed. Our Lord Jesus started His ministry when He was 30 years old. His ministry lasted 2.5- 3 years. Calculating from 33 AD, He will return in 2033 AD. This means the rapture will take place in 2033-7 = 2026 AD. Hence we have three more years to prepare.

The Lord wants to take us through a systematic study of His Scriptures that He indicated are the Will of God. Jesus insisted on Scriptures being fulfilled in the garden even when He was in great distress because the Scriptures or the will of the Father must be done.
In this light, we have to prepare to become good soldiers with all our armour ready at all times because the warfare will thicken soon and only those who are fully prepared will be able to succeed in combat. This requires patient and diligent study of scriptures or the will of God so that we can have the success we desire. This is entirely conditional.
Whoever takes the time, effort and diligence necessary to prepare for the future alone will be taken. So let us not assume it is enough to be saved. Jesus stressed the importance of holding on to our faith, so when times of distress come, we must not fall from our faith.
Yet please do not be alarmed because we serve a wonderfully gracious and loving God. His promise to not give us more than we can bear will always hold true.
Our aim must be to walk closely with God the Holy Spirit. We must be well-tuned to listening to His ever so gentle and small voice. We need to be praying in tongues always (even in the mind without using our tongue) so that the bowl of prayers can be filled to overflowing. Amen.
Let us proceed into the fulness of manifesting the Father’s will and prepare when there is time. God is extremely patient and does not want anyone to perish. His heart goes all out to the Jews and Gentiles who seek Him with a diligent heart. His mercy overflows and His kindness prevails.
Do not worry or fear any evil but know that the devil will use whatever tactics is possible to mislead and misguide—which is the reason we must be deeply rooted in the faith. When we are so well-built, no enemy can catch us unawares. The elect cannot be deceived because they know their Lord.
So let us gather all understanding from the Lord Himself that alone can sustain us. When you read the inspired Word, you must still ask God to open your heart to what He is speaking. There is more to say than words can ever express.
We want to get closer to the heart language of our king and redeemer and want no stone unturned so that God’s glory can Be fully seen.
For the important reason that Jehovah God continues to be our protector and fortress, we can confidently speak the words given us by the Spirit. We can enact the will of God in all our circumstances when we turn our FOCUS this year only on what Heaven is doing. It is important not to be distracted by all the ploys of the enemy that are only meant to steal time and destiny. Our Father has graciously given us more time so that we can organize our act and get our lives back on track.
So wherever you broke off, it is time to mend and restore. Don’t be shy. Come to the throne with great confidence for the Blood of Jesus speaks a good word. He is faithful—we are as sheep, let us follow.

Prayer:
I pray with all the saints that God is doing a new thing. Believers from all over the world are uniting their hearts as one to serve the only God and Saviour. We are blessed because of Jesus and we love the Lord who gave Himself for us. Let us let go of every restraint and be zealous for the Lord’s work to be done. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Hallelujah for ever and ever ! Amen

God is a responsible father. He is the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort. – 2 Cor 1:3. God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. – Psalm 46:1. We must gain understanding on the many ways in which He cares for us.

He will always take care of us as He is the eternal everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. – Isaiah 40:28.

He will not fall into evil days because He can neither be tempted by evil nor does He tempt anyone. – James 1:13. He, being true and loyal to us, will constantly offer us His care and loving guidance. He richly blesses all who call on him. – Romans 10:12. The Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. – Psalm 1:6

We can thus look forward to His help in every situation and circumstance. He offers wisdom (Prov 2:6) to counter the problems that present themselves so that we may not be taken in by them. We have no reason to live hopelessly because we have a wonderful loving father in our God.

Satan promulgates rebellion and emphasizes freedom by breaking away from God instead of being subservient. Satan desires that each of us become God’s enemies and maintain that position for the rest of our lives.

He uses all kinds of arguments to reduce God’s greatness by speaking of Him as a mere person or teacher or just someone who was born human, taught for a little time and then faded away into nothingness. He will go to great lengths to belittle God and make Him appear lowly, undistinguished, unremarkable and repulsive. Satan causes great aberrations to take root in our minds that attack the majestic attributes of God. He uses wicked suggestions to gain the acceptance of the people he desires to influence. He appears to be majestic, wise and benevolent only so that he can utterly deceive the people who listen to him.

The devil has a dream to banish man from the face of the earth. He seeks only to kill, steal and destroy. He uses empty theories such as leading a comfortable life, taking control over one’s life, not having to serve, making oneself rich by owning things and so on as the building blocks of his enticement towards us.

On the contrary, the Bible paints a different picture of death to self, giving the control of one’s life to God, living a life of sacrifice and service, and becoming poor so that we can be made truly rich (for the poor have a high position in God’s eyes while the rich have a low position— James 1:9-10: Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. ¹⁰But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wildflower.

God has a dream to see all his people gathered unto Him on earth. He wants every single one of us that He has redeemed by His precious blood to partake in every good blessing eternity has to offer.

Our dream should be like Jesus who “for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV) We too must endure all things for the joy set before us—an eternal kingdom awaits all those who endure till the end. We are called as children of God to keep our focus and determined actions towards building that dream that God has for us. We received enormous help and continually receive from Him on innumerable occasions. He is indeed a good shepherd who cares for His sheep.

Each person has a certain set of strengths and weaknesses. We are endowed with unique gifts and talents by God, our Maker. We have been fearfully and wonderfully made and in God’s eyes all are equal. God does not compare one against the other as man is prone to do.

Each of us before we are born again have a certain nature. However all become one under Christ’s influence when each of us works towards attaining the goal of being Christlike. We will then complement each other and be useful to each other.

We are responsible for the weaker ones among us and we must do everything possible to help them become strong. Most importantly, we must live peacefully with each other, looking out for each other’s interest with an attitude of sincere love and affection. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. – Romans 13:8.

We need to learn to accept and appreciate each other’s talents so as to ensure equality. We need to accept that God made each one to perform a task that they are gifted to do.

There are higher tasks and lower tasks but each task is important and necessary. The high and low tasks both require Godly ability to perform well. The lower tasks are looked down upon by man but God does not see as man sees but gives equal reward regardless of how able or competent a person is and how long he or she has carried out the task. The same reward is offered for the task so long as it is done to specification (Matthew 20:1-16). If we lose focus and do not perform according to specification, chances are we will be ousted and God will find someone else to take our stead.

The Word teaches how God will confound the wisdom of the wise. The high and lofty ideas of people who claim to have learned a lot of things from life only show how meager their understanding is and how little they know about what life really consists of.

The Word reveals that those who professed to be wise became fools – Romans 1:22. Also, it is not only the old who are wise, or the elderly who understand justice. – Job 32:9

We must not be taken in by wisdom that is different from that of Christ. We must bring every thought captive to Christ and must not be enamored/deceived by the so-called wisdom of the wise. The ‘wise’ make the case that humans are to be responsible for their own lives. They suggest (without suggesting) that unless they take care of themselves, they will not have the life they desire.

The worldly wise are as false teachers who teach (and insist on) things other than those written in the Word. They do not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, but instead are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. – 1 Tim 6:2b-5

1. The first attribute of the wise is that they build their life (house) on the rock of Christ’s teachings.
– Matthew 7:24.

2. The second attribute is that a wise man receives instruction and is not always right in his own eyes.
– Prov 12:15.
3. The third attribute is that they do not receive the wisdom of this world.
1 Corinthians 3:19:
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness”
4. The fourth attribute is that they win souls. – Prov 11:30
5. The fifth attribute is that they are careful how they walk. – Eph 5:15
In brief, the wise man fears God and loves the Law of God and meditates on it day and night.

The secret to a peaceful and content life is to recognize the many blessings that God offers us on a daily basis and give Him thanks for all of them.

We understand the importance of giving thanks when we find out how the Bible elucidates that it is God’s will for us to give thanks in all circumstances – 1 Thess 6:18. In addition, we are required to rejoice always, and pray continually (vs. 16, 17).

The combination of these three actions of rejoicing always, praying continually and giving thanks (in the same order) is dynamic and leads to the fulfillment of God’s will in our lives.

We rejoice that our names have been written in heaven. – Luke 10:20.

This means that the primary cause of celebration is that we have attained the gift of salvation. When we rejoice in the fact that we are saved, we are taken into the presence of God. We seek God’s help by presenting our requests, and petitions with thanksgiving. Our prayers are heard and God starts working on them. We can therefore give thanks to a wonderful God who has heard us and will take care of the petition we have presented before Him (in His time).

The solution to our problems starts with rejoicing — when we rejoice always, we acknowledge that God is our help and He is working continually on our behalf. We are releasing our faith and trust in our loving God who is deeply concerned about us.

Every time you feel that your petition is not heard, you must start rejoicing over your salvation so that you can enter into His presence and present your case again. While this is not necessary, God allows it because He desires to see you in His presence and He loves it when you ask Him to help. He knows your need and is able to help you but you also need to accept God’s wisdom regarding the timing and the details of how He will answer your prayer. When you accept that He is infinitely wise, you can rest peacefully in Him while He works out the answers for you.

We are joyful that God has given us His salvation through our faith in His Son. Being confident in hope that we will be unified with the Godhead in the future makes us joyful.

The joy we have in His presence gives us the strength to be patient in affliction – Nehemiah 8:10. We are thus faithful in praying to God even as we have to endure all things until we see the answers to our prayers.

When it becomes hard to endure, enter into His courts with praise and thanksgiving. This is the sure way to feel at peace and experience joyful gladness in Him because we are reassured that God will surely send help when it is kairos time or the fullness of time has arrived. We find the key to happiness by obeying God’s word while we are waiting.

When answers are delayed, we must not take to rebellion against God (considering Him our enemy) as the man who was offered one talent insinuated against God. He hid the talent in the ground and did not do anything with it because he was convinced that his master was a hard man.

Matthew 25:24-25
“Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’”

He was afraid because his heart was rebellious and yet he knew he could not overcome his master even if he wanted to because his master (God) was more powerful than him. So he takes out his scorn on Him by charging God with the accusation that God was a hard man who did not sow or scatter seed and yet harvested and gathered. He did not do any work Himself, so why would He expect to gather where He had not put in any work?

We think that God has not done anything for us and so we need not do anything for Him. This is the way Satan deceives us by making us think that God has not done anything for us. He insinuates against God telling us how He has not sown any seed into our lives nor has He scattered seed. What do these phrases mean?

The former means that God has not given us the seed of knowledge or taught us anything that will help us be fruitful. He has not scattered seed means we have not been given the space and the flexibility to plant ourselves where we would have had all the resources we needed to grow and flourish. He has constrained us and put us against weeds that battle for the little life we have in us. How could we grow? How could we prosper in such circumstances? We think God is indeed unfair in not giving us what we need and then requiring that we bear fruit. So He has no right to ask us for fruit that could only have been borne if the conditions were right.

The reality though is that God has given us the incorruptible seed of His Son implanted in our hearts the day we are born again – 1 Peter 1:23. He has become to us wisdom from God. – 1 Cor 1:30.

God plants His people among the heathen and the ungodly because He wants His people to shine the light within, in dark places.

The dark places and the restrictive conditions are perfect for the seed to grow and flourish because the seed can see how unfruitful the life of the weed is. They can thus take due deliberation and caution to avoid having a similar life and destiny. They are constrained into a life of obedience because they are restricted and have a singular focus to know God and seek out true liberty in Him that helps bring them so much closer to the Lord.

When we see the spiritual emptiness, the spiritual hopelessness and the spiritual fruitlessness in the lives of the ungodly, we are spurred into action and are convinced beyond doubt that the place that God has planted us in is indeed excellent and perfect for our growth and development in Him.

The devil sets the ungodly (planted weeds in the night) among the children of God in the vain hope that their roots will gradually be intertwined. However we know that God has placed a sword between us.

Matthew 10:34-36
³⁴ “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. ³⁵ For I have come to turn
‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
³⁶ a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’”

When the two come together, the sword of the Word becomes alive and active which means we are required to do spiritual warfare as David did against Goliath – Hebrews 4:12.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The ungodly are opposed to the believer as they are spiritually blind and cannot see any sign of progress in the believer.

The enemy misleads them to thinking that the believer is powerless. So they take advantage of them and unify in their common purpose and goal to thwart God’s kingdom from the heart of the believer (because the enemy convinces them that God will not protect them and they can do as they like). Try as hard as they like, they do not succeed because God takes tender care of the believer and ensures that no harm comes to him/her. They not only grow well spiritually but flourish under His loving care and guidance.

The heathen grow big in the natural as they build tall buildings only to have God confuse their language (their systems fail and the things they have always done fail to bear results. This is the reason we are given a new language of tongues when we receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit.) and cause them to turn from building. They ought to focus on growing spiritually instead of materially. They are confused but do not know why they are so. They cannot figure out the things of God on their own because God hides it from them. But He reveals them to little children whose hearts are dedicated to Him. He gives the humble believer the knowledge of His truth and causes them to go in the right direction.

The heathen unfortunately cannot see or understand spiritual things because they are foolishness to them. They do not value the work of God in a believer’s life and are constantly opposed to their growth because they do not value it.

When it is time for the harvest of souls, the wicked and the ungodly will be tied into bundles first and burned. Then wheat will be gathered and brought into the barn.

Aseity, Eternity, Goodness

Aseity: God is so independent that he does not need us. It is based on Acts 17:25, where it says that God “is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything” (NIV). This is often related to God’s self-existence and his self-sufficiency.

Eternity: The eternity of God concerns his existence beyond time. Psalm 90:2 (“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God”), Wayne Grudem states that, “God has no beginning, end, or succession of moments in his own being, and he sees all time equally vividly, yet God sees events in time and acts in time.” The expression “Alpha and Omega” also used as title of God in Book of Revelation.

Goodness: The goodness of God means that “God is the final standard of good, and all that God is and does is worthy of approval.” Many theologians consider the goodness of God as an overarching attribute – Louis Berkhof, for example, sees it as including kindness, love, grace, mercy and longsuffering. The idea that God is “all good” is called his omnibenevolence.

Graciousness, Holiness, Immanence

Graciousness: The graciousness of God is a key attribute of God. In Exodus 34:5-6, it is part of the Name of God, “Yahweh, Yahweh, the compassionate and gracious God”. The descriptive of God in this text is, in Jewish tradition, called the “Thirteen Attributes of Mercy”.

Holiness: The holiness of God is that he is separate from sin and incorruptible. Noting the refrain of “Holy, holy, holy” in Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8, R. C. Sproul points out that “only once in sacred Scripture is an attribute of God elevated to the third degree…”

Immanence: The immanence of God refers to him being in the world. It is thus contrasted with his transcendence, but Christian theologians usually emphasize that the two attributes are not contradictory. To hold to transcendence but not immanence is deism, while to hold to immanence but not transcendence is pantheism. According to Wayne Grudem, “the God of the Bible is no abstract deity removed from, and uninterested in his creation”. Grudem goes on to say that the whole Bible “is the story of God’s involvement with his creation”, and highlights verses such as Acts 17:28, “in him we live and move and have our being”.

Immutability, Impassibility, Impeccability

Immutability: Immutability means God cannot change. James 1:17 refers to the “Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (NIV). Herman Bavinck notes that although the Bible talks about God changing a course of action, or becoming angry, these are the result of changes in the heart of God’s people (Numbers 14.) “Scripture testifies that in all these various relations and experiences, God remains ever the same.” Millard Erickson calls this attribute God’s constancy.

Impassibility: The doctrine of the impassibility of God is a controversial one. It is usually defined as the inability of God to suffer, while recognizing that Jesus, who is believed to be God, suffered in his human nature. The Westminster Confession of Faith says that God is “without body, parts, or passions”. Although most Christians historically (Athanasius, Augustine, Aquinas, and Calvin being examples) take this to mean that God is “without emotions whether of sorrow, pain or grief”, some people interpret this as meaning that God is free from all attitudes “which reflect instability or lack of control.” Robert Reymond says that “it should be understood to mean that God has no bodily passions such as hunger or the human drive for sexual fulfillment.”

Impeccability: The impeccability of God is closely related to his holiness. It means that God is unable to sin, which is a stronger statement than merely saying that God does not sin. Robert Morey argues that God does not have the “absolute freedom” found in Greek philosophy; the God of the Bible “is ‘free’ to act only in conformity to His nature.”

Incomprehensibility, Incorporeality, Infinity.

Incomprehensibility: The incomprehensibility of God means that he is not able to be fully known. Isaiah 40:28 says “his understanding no one can fathom”. Louis Berkhof states that “the consensus of opinion” through most of church history has been that God is the “Incomprehensible One”. Berkhof, however, argues that, “in so far as God reveals Himself in His attributes, we also have some knowledge of His Divine Being, though even so our knowledge is subject to human limitations.”

Incorporeality: The incorporeality or spirituality of God refers to him being a Spirit. This is derived from Jesus’ statement in John 4:24, “God is Spirit.” Robert Reymond suggests that it is the fact of his spiritual essence that underlies the second commandment, which prohibits every attempt to fashion an image of him.

Infinity: The infinity of God includes both his eternity and his immensity. Isaiah 40:28 says that “Yahweh is the everlasting God,” while Solomon acknowledges in 1 Kings 8:27 that “the heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you”. Infinity permeates all other attributes of God: his goodness, love, power, etc. are all considered to be infinite.

Jealousy, Love, Mission

Jealousy: J. I. Packer sees God’s jealousy as “zeal to protect a love relationship or to avenge it when broken,” thus making it “an aspect of his covenant love for his own people.”

Love: D. A. Carson distinguishes between the “different dimensions of the love of God,” as the love between the Father and the Son, God’s general love for his creation, God’s “salvific stance towards his fallen world,” his “particular, effectual, selecting love toward his elect,” and love that is conditioned on obedience.
The love of God is particularly emphasized by adherents of the social Trinitarian school of theology. Kevin Bidwell, along with Jürgen Moltmann and Miroslav Volf, “deliberately advocates self-giving love and freedom at the expense of Lordship and a whole array of other divine attributes.”

Mission: David Bosch has argued that “mission is not primarily an activity of the church, but an attribute of God.” Christopher J. H. Wright argues for a biblical basis for Mission that goes beyond the Great Commission, and suggests that “missionary texts” may sparkle like gems, but that “simply laying out such gems on a string is not yet what one could call a missiological hermeneutic of the whole Bible itself.”

Mystery, Omnipotence, Omnipresence

Mystery: Many theologians see mystery as God’s primary attribute because he only reveals certain knowledge to the human race. Karl Barth said “God is the ultimate mystery.” Karl Rahner views “God” as “mystery” and theology as “the ‘science’ of mystery.” Nikolai Berdyaev deems “inexplicable Mystery” as God’s “most profound definition.” Ian Ramsey defines God as “permanent mystery”.

Omnipotence: The omnipotence of God refers to Him being “all powerful”. This is often conveyed with the phrase “Almighty”, as in the Old Testament title “God Almighty” (the conventional translation of the Hebrew title El Shaddai) and the title “God the Father Almighty” in the Apostles’ Creed.
C. S. Lewis clarifies this concept: “His Omnipotence means power to do all that is intrinsically possible, not to do the intrinsically impossible. You may attribute miracles to him, but not nonsense. This is no limit to his power.”

Omnipresence: The omnipresence of God refers to him being present everywhere. Berkhof distinguishes between God’s immensity and his omnipresence, saying that the former “points to the fact that God transcends all space and is not subject to its limitations,” emphasizing his transcendence, while the latter denotes that God “fills every part of space with His entire Being,” emphasizing his immanence.
In Psalm 139, David says, “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there” (Psalm 139:8, NIV).

Omniscience, Oneness, Providence

Omniscience: The omniscience of God refers to him being “all-knowing”. Berkhof regards the wisdom of God as a “particular aspect of his knowledge.”
An argument from free will proposes that omniscience and free will are incompatible and that as a result either God does not exist or any concept of God that contains both of these elements is incorrect. An omniscient God has knowledge of the future, and thus what choices He will make. Because God’s knowledge of the future is perfect, He cannot make a different choice and therefore has no free will. Alternatively, a God with free will can make different choices based on knowledge of the future, and therefore God’s knowledge of the future is imperfect or limited.

Oneness: The oneness, or unity of God refers to his being one and only. This means that Christianity is monotheistic, although the doctrine of the Trinity says that God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Athanasian Creed says “we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity.”
The statement, known as the Shema Yisrael, after its first two words in Hebrew, says “Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our God, Yahweh is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4). In the New Testament, Jesus upholds the oneness of God by quoting these words in Mark 12:29. The Apostle Paul also affirms the oneness of God in verses like Ephesians 4:6.
The oneness of God is also related to his simplicity.

Providence: While the providence of God usually refers to his activity in the world, it also implies his care for the universe, and is thus an attribute. Although the word is not used in the Bible to refer to God, the concept is found in verses such as Acts 17:25, which says that God “gives all men life and breath and everything else” (NIV).

A distinction is usually made between “general providence,” which refers to God’s continuous upholding the existence and natural order of the universe, and “special providence,” which refers to God’s extraordinary intervention in the life of people.

Righteousness, Simplicity, Sovereignty

Righteousness: The righteousness of God may refer to his holiness, to his justice, or to his saving activity. Martin Luther grew up believing that this referred to an attribute of God – namely, his distributive justice. Luther’s change of mind and subsequent interpretation of the phrase as referring to the righteousness which God imputes to the believer was a major factor in the Protestant Reformation. More recently, however, scholars such as N. T. Wright have argued that the verse refers to an attribute of God after all – this time, his covenant faithfulness.

Simplicity: The simplicity of God means he is not partly this and partly that, but that whatever he is, he is so entirely. It is thus related to the unity of God. Grudem notes that this is a less common use of the word “simple” – that is, “not composed of parts”. Grudem distinguishes between God’s “unity of singularity” (in that God is one God) and his “unity of simplicity”.

Sovereignty: The sovereignty of God is related to his omnipotence, providence, and kingship, yet it also encompasses his freedom, and is in keeping with his goodness, righteousness, holiness, and impeccability. It refers to God being in complete control as he directs all things — no person, organization, government or any other force can stop God from executing his purpose. This attribute has been particularly emphasized in Calvinism.
The Calvinist writer A. W. Pink appeals to Isaiah 46:10 (“My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please”) and argues, “Subject to none, influenced by none, absolutely independent; God does as He pleases, only as He pleases always as He pleases.” Other Christian writers contend that the sovereign God desires to be influenced by prayer and that he “can and will change His mind when His people pray.”

Transcendence, Trinity and Veracity.

Transcendence: God’s transcendence means that he is outside space and time, and therefore eternal and unable to be changed by forces within the universe. It is thus closely related to God’s immutability, and is contrasted with his immanence.

Trinity: Trinitarian traditions of Christianity propose the Trinity of God – three persons in one: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Support for the doctrine of the Trinity comes from several verses on the Bible and the New Testament’s trinitarian formulae, such as the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
Also, 1 John 5:7 (of the KJV) reads “…there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one”, but this Comma Johanneum is almost universally rejected as a Latin corruption.

Veracity: The veracity of God means his truth-telling. Titus 1:2 refers to “God, who does not lie.” Among evangelicals, God’s veracity is often regarded as the basis of the doctrine of biblical inerrancy.
Greg Bahnsen says,
“Only with an inerrant autograph can we avoid attributing error to the God of truth. An error in the original would be attributable to God Himself, because He, in the pages of Scripture, takes responsibility for the very words of the biblical authors. Errors in copies, however, are the sole responsibility of the scribes involved, in which case God’s veracity is not impugned.”
